Bob Sheppard to ‘Retire’

Yankees  PA announcer Bob Sheppard says he will not be back with the New York Yankees but is not officially retiring.  Sheppard has been the Yankees public address announcer since 1951. But he has not been to the new Yankees stadium, in fact, he has not worked since 2007 when he get ill. Bob is now 99 years old and say he looks forward to visiting the new Yankee Stadium his health is up to it. If you like to know more about Bob Sheppard, refer to this article.

Goose Inducted into the Hall of Fame

Final Game at The House that Ruth Built Tonight

The NY Yankees will play their final game at the old Yankee Stadium tonight in a game with the Baltimore Orioles.  Having been denied landmark status numerous times, the old stadium will be demolished in short order. For more on Yankee Stadium, see this story,
