Yankees, Pettitte, Shut Down Orioles
Monday, August 31, 2009. New York Yankees 5, Baltimore Orioles 1. Andy Pettitte was outstanding tonight and no hit the Baltimore Orioles for 7 2/3 innings before yielding a hit. Pettitte ended the night going eight full innings, giving up just two hits and one run (on a solo homerun). Nick Swisher gave the Yankees the lead with a solo homerun and had a three hit night, driving in two of the Yankees five runs.
