Yankees End Skid, Clobber Tigers
April 28, 2009. The The New York Yankees ended their four game slide tonight by beating up on the Detroit Tigers 11-0. Phil Hughes, just callled up from the Yankees Scranton AAA team, went six strong innings, giving up only two hits, no runs, and pitching himself out a bases loaded jam. The game was scoreless until the seventh when the Yankees scored ten runs, topped off by Jose Molina’s grand slam.
