Yankees Defeat Sox, Magic Number Down to Three
Friday, September 25, 2009. The New York Yankees, behind Joba Chamberlain, defeated the Boston Red Sox tonight in the Stadium 9-5. Alex Rodriguez went three for three and drove in four runs. Joba, now without inning restrictions, went six innings, gave up three runs and earned his eighth win, his first since early August. The Yankees had their running game going, stealing seven bases.
